Bleeding

The Bleeding inventory effect

Bleeding is an effect similar to Poison or Wither, which causes entities to gradually lose health. Sources which can inflict Bleeding are:

Bandages and First Aid Kits will instantly clear bleed effects. The Bloody Cloth accessory has a chance to clear bleed effects and will reduce bleeding damage.

Blood particles will drip from entities which are bleeding.

Damage Calculation[edit | edit source]

The amount of damage dealt per damage tick is calculated as 1.0 + (amplifier * 0.25). The maximum time between damage ticks is 60 ticks (three seconds), which occurs with an amplifier of zero. Each level of the effect will reduce the time by 10 ticks. If the entity's invulnerable time (immunity frames) is longer than the cooldown time, the invulnerable time will be set to the cooldown time.

The effect ignores armor protection.
